Safety

Whether on the job or while enjoying a hobby, safety is of paramount importance. While we may not normally think of our hobby as dangerous, don't forget that chemicals in the form of paints and cleaners can be hazardous. Be certain to follow the manufacturers safety precautions!

Electrical work in our hobby is usually low voltage which, in most cases, poses little risk of injury. But there are some instances where you may be working around higher voltages. Local electrical codes must be adhered to. If you are unsure about working around higher voltage wiring and devices, please seek the assistance of a qualified electrician.

The normal course of hobbies such as railroading bring us into contact with sharp tools, high speed equipment and other potentially dangerous objects. Please protect yourself, and those around you by using proper procautions and personal safety equipment when required.
